Tablescaping Trends For Summer Entertaining

Luxury Event Designer & Tablescape Expert Debbie Marks, founder of Qube Luxe shares the latest trends & tips for styling a summer table.

Choose a theme for your table. This could be a color scheme or a fun summer theme like Coastal Vibes, Tropical Luxe or even Moroccan Nights vibes. When it comes to decorating, start with a lovely table runner that fits your color scheme and accessorize with matching napkins.

Candlelight looks amazing down the center of your table. Use tall pillar candle holders, scented candles, t-lights or taper candle holders with vibrant color candles to add pops of color to your table.

Add florals to your table in small bud vases. It’s really simple yet super easy to create. Beautiful blooms such as hydrangeas, Dahlias, Orchids and Roses can look absolutely stunning.

Add in some statement pieces to your table that create a talking point. This could be decorative items such as a gold leopard, lanterns or even a seahorse!

Make each place setting really attractive. You can do this with a gorgeous placemat, a beautiful glass charger plate (guests know they are in for a treat when they have a charger plate), a lovely napkin & napkin ring and then some statement cutlery to complete the look along with a gorgeous coloured wine glass or tumbler.

Wild Sophistication

A vibrant combination of green and white hues, complemented by the exotic presence of leopards. Leopards symbolize strength, power, courage and determination.  The Leopard can also teach us the importance of being resourceful and mindful of our surroundings. This is a great reminder of the importance of bringing great people together around your table and by decorating in an intentional way will ensure you guests feel extra special.

Adorn your table with a white woven table runner, lush green ferns, striking gold pillar candlesticks with an Aztec inspired pattern to them.  The combination of gold sparking in the sunlight amongst  a bed of ferns is spectacular for creating a super luxe vibe to your table.

Incorporate leopard-print elements strategically placed throughout the tablescape or use leopard dinner plates and gold leopard figurines bringing a touch of wild sophistication to the arrangement. The overall effect is a captivating fusion of Aztec influences, vibrant green and white colours, and a hint of untamed elegance with the leopard motifs, creating a visually stunning and unique tablescape

Coastal Aesthetics

Blues & Whites are here to stay and they are perfect for relaxed summer dining.  Create a serene and breezy ambiance reminiscent of the ocean.  Seaside and beach themed table decorations that will create the most dreamy and relaxing summer atmosphere.  Twin the blues & whites with coastal accessories for the ultimate dreamy coastal table setting. Start by laying a crisp white runner as the base. It will provide a clean and fresh canvas for your coastal-themed table setting. Choose coral white charger plates and turquoise shell plates as they will complement the runner and create a clean crisp look. Place a turquoise or white linen napkin on each plate, folding it in a simple, elegant design with wicker napkin rings, representing the earthiness of the ocean and coastal aesthetics.
