At Oculus Travel, I craft and curate life-enriching journeys to Africa because I wish to share my dream of Africa and the love of this richly diverse continent with those who want to experience and cherish it as I do.

I’ve traveled extensively and built deep connections with Africa, rekindling my love for this beautifully diverse land through exploration and personal reinvention. Born under the vast South African skies, my childhood was steeped in the rugged beauty of the veld, where wildlife, agriculture, and human necessity co-existed in a precious balance.

My career path in media took me away from this land to the UK, for many years, but the call of the wild never faded. My husband and I, united by a shared love for these untamed spaces, always seized every chance to return to Africa. Our relocation to New York in 2021 presented me with an unexpected opportunity. Over brunch, a chance encounter with my long-time travel agent rekindled my dream to intertwine my career with conserving Africa’s exquisite ecosystems and the communities that dwell within them. And so Oculus Travel was born.
